Dresden Houses is a fun and easy project that can be accomplished in a day. I will guide you through this process as you personalize your ‘neighborhood’ any way you want.
You can follow a theme (Halloween, Christmas, sports, animals) or work within a controlled color scheme such as Kaffe, 30’s, Batiks, or your favorite prints and colors, or just go scrappy. Whichever path you choose, if you love your fabrics, you’ll love your Dresden Houses.
You will create your houses onto your sandwiched layers of backing, batting and backgrounds in a ‘quilt as you go’ method so that after you’ve added the roofs, doors and other embellishments, all you need to do is bind it and, BAM! Fun and done!
Plan to prepare for the class by bringing your sandwiched layers cut and pressed (see the supply list) so you can jump right into building your neighborhood.
