The Zig Zag Scrap buster project:
This workshop ties in nicely with the idea of up-cycling! I call it half-scrap quilt. You will use scraps for the zig zag print area but you will need yardage for the background. Use your scraps, use scraps from others, use up your favorite fabrics from some cotton shirts. This is a great scrap buster project. Two block sizes to choose from and your zig zags can grow to whatever size quilt you would like. Practice some precision piecing, 1/2 square triangle techniques, 9 patch piecing and you will be well on your way. It is very satisfying to make something out of fabric you have on hand!
